Man vs Uncertainty
We sure live in very strange times. Uncertainty is all around us, never more than today. The current COVID-19 pandemic has heightened uncertainty over the economy situation worldwide, our employment, family finances, relationships, and last but not least our very own physical and mental health. I as all human beings crave security, I want to feel safe and have sense of control over my life. I have fought procrastination, and feelings that bad things will happen.
WFH is not a new scenerio to me, but I am learning to keep clearly defined working hours. I miss having short breaks when I would walk down the small kitchen corner at work and often meet my colleagues from other departments making a cuppa. Even the walk to the bathroom at work - situated on a lower floor - felt like a short break. And if worst came to worst, I could take a breather on a private terrace or on another courtyard of the Prague Castle. Many, many ways of distraction, fresh air and opportunities to have a short chat that WFH sittuation does not offer.
